The curators of HYB4 Gallery will open an exhibition Forms of Sensitivity at the Prague House Gallery. The exhibition project Forms of Sensitivity was presented by the curators of HYB4 Gallery at the Hybernská Campus in 2023. As the name suggests, its aim is to explore forms of sensitivity as a key phenomenon of artistic creation through a selection of works by talented young Czech artists.
“Sensitivity is a gift that allows creators to perceive the world in its subtlety, discover hidden meanings and transform them into works full of depth and emotion. We conceived the exhibition as an exploration of various forms of sensitivity – not as a weakness, but as a strength that unlocks new perspectives and opens the viewer's path to understanding,” say the curators of HYB4 Gallery Filip Kazda and Michal Štochl.
“We are pleased to return to the beautiful spaces of the Prague House in Brussels for the second time through the production of HYB4 Gallery. This is a great opportunity and possibility to present Kampus Hybernská beyond the borders of not only Prague, but also the Czech Republic,” says the director of Kampus Hybernská, a registered institute, Ema Pospíšilová.
The exhibition gives space to classical media as a means to slow down, reflect and reinterpret the moment. This is not trendy art trying to keep up with a rapidly changing world, but a celebration of diversity, aesthetic purity and originality. It is a tribute to sensitivity as a key characteristic that gives art its strength and meaning.
“This selection of young Czech artists invites viewers to discover and experience, which is not only visual, but also deeply internal. The exhibition invites you to look into a world where sensitivity is a tool of understanding and creation, which connects a person, their emotions and the world of art,” add the curators.
Exhibiting artists: Dominik Adamec, Karíma Al-Mukhtarová, Veronika Čechmánková, Nikola Čulík, Radka Bodzewitz, David Krňanský, Assaf Hinden, Ester Parasková, Petr Pelzmann, Ondřej Petrlík, Matěj Pokorný, Sofie Tobiášová, Matyáš Malač, Mark Ther.
During each year, the Prague House presents a number of artists from the contemporary Czech scene — both icons of fine art and young authors. It cooperates with art schools (UMPRUM, AVU) and with specific galleries or curators.
One of the goals of the Representation of the City of Prague in Brussels is to promote the capital city of Prague and its cultural heritage, while continuously establishing relationships and building ties with representatives and employees of European institutions, representatives of other foreign regions, diplomatic circles and the cultural sphere.
The exhibition Many Forms of Sensitivity will open on February 18th at 7:30 PM at the Prague House at Avenue Palmerston 16, Brussels and will run until March 27th, 2025. Visits must be booked in advance by calling 02 230 94 91 or by emailing: praguehouse@praha.eu.
