One World in Brusels 2023


This year's (16th edition) of the International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival One World in Brussels will take place from 20 to 27 April and will be focused on an important topic of today's society, human rights. The One World Festival in Brussels will present 13 films at the premises of the European Parliament, the Palace of Fine Arts BOZAR, the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU and Prague House Brussels among others. After each film screening, visitors can look forward to discussions with experts, filmmakers, policymakers or representatives of international organizations.

The Killing of a Journalist 26. 4. | 18:00 | Prague House, Avenue Palmerston 16

In February 2018, three gunshots in a house in Velka Macha ended the lives of a young couple. Their bodies were not discovered until four days later. Soon after, the names Kuciak and Kushnirova became symbols of the largest protests in Slovakia since 1989.

The winning film of the 16th edition will be announced by our esteemed jury of representatives of NGOs based in Brussels.
