Ing. Vladislav Vilímec se narodil v Klatovech v roce 1963. Daří se mu úspešně spojovat profesi politika s klavírními vystoupeními, především se svým bratrem Miroslavem Vilímcem. V současném době je zástupce starosty obce
Kdyně a poslancem Parlamentu České republiky.
Mr. Vladislav Vilímec was born in Klatovy in 1963. He is successful in a combining of a career as a politician with playing a piano. He performes mainly with his brother, violinist Miroslav Vilímec. At the present time he is a vice-mayor of Kdyne village and a member of The Parliament of The Czech Republic.
The long list of his solo appearances includes performances with almost all of the Czech orchestras. The most prestigious is his regular co-operation with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. Lately he performed with this orchestra the Symphony Espagnole op. 21, by Edouard Lalo and many other pieces. The exceptionally fantastic reception met his performance of the original version of the D major violin concerto by Paganini, as well as the Concerto for the violin and orchestra no. 4 B flat major, by Jan Kubelík, both conducted by Maestro Václav Neumann. He also performes a chamber-music, mainly in the cooperation with his brother, pianist Vladislav Vilímec. Mr. Vilímec is the Chairman of The Jan Kubelik Society, The Society takes care of the legacy of Jan Kubelik and other famous Czech violinists.
He is also an active promoter of the cycle of concerts, called “Music in Synagogues of the Pilsen Region”. The festival takes place yearly in 6 synagogues of western Bohemia.
