On Tuesday 8th of October 2019 the Delegation of Prague to the EU organised a festive opening of the exhibition „Dark Crystal“ which displays works of two Czech artists, a painter Jan Uldrych and a glassmaker Lukáš Novák. The exhibiton was prepared in cooperation with Prague-based The Chemistry Gallery. The works of both authors are very compatible, glass objects by Lukáš Novák made of opaque lithyalin complete well the atmosphere made by Jakub Uldrych’s dark, spiritual and mystic paintings.
The evening was oficially opened by the Mayor of the City of Prague, Mr. Zdeněk Hřib. The curator Petr Hájek introduced the Brussels exhibition and selected art pieces to the public in the presence of both authors. The evening event was accompanied by musical performance by Czech DJ Petr Kopal.
You can visit the exhibition until 26 November 2019 in the Prague House gallery, on weekdays between 9h00 and 16h00, ideally after reservation.
