On Wednesday 26th of June 2019 the Delegation of Prague to the EU organised a festive opening of the exhibition „Flowers in our hands“ by contemporary Czech painter Jakub Matuška aka Masker. Jakub Matuška belongs to the young generation of Czech artists already well known abroad. In his works we can perceive the influence of street art, symbolism and also metaphysical art. His colourful paintings express universal topics such as human existence and spirituality.
The Mayor of Prague Zdeněk Hřib opened the evening with an introductory speech. The curator Vilém Kabzan, together with the author, presented the Brussels exhibition to the public. The evening event was accompanied by musical performance by Czech hip-hop band Prago Union.
You can visit the exhibition until 28th August 2019 in the Prague House gallery, on weekdays between 9h00 and 16h30, ideally after reservation.
